Child safety standards
Garage Built has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and for any sexual exploitation of a minor. This is not a policy we weigh against other considerations.
What we do:
- Every photo and video uploaded to a shared surface is scanned against known-CSAM hash databases
before it appears anywhere, including to the person who uploaded it. Content is hidden while that check runs.
- A known-hash match is quarantined immediately, reported to the National Center for Missing &
Exploited Children (NCMEC), and preserved for law enforcement under the statutory retention period.
- Accounts involved are terminated. There is no appeal for a confirmed match.
- Every user must be 13 or older to have an account, and 18 or older to use Marketplace.
Reporting: report the content in the app, or email [email protected] with "CHILD SAFETY" in the subject. Reports about a child in immediate danger should go to law enforcement first — in the U.S., the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.

Content that is not allowed
Beyond the Code of Conduct, these are removed on sight and usually end the account:
- Sexual content involving minors, in any form, including drawings and generated imagery.
- Credible threats of violence against a person.
- Content that promotes self-harm or suicide.
- Doxxing — publishing someone's home address, workplace, or documents.
- Sexual content generally. This is a vehicle app.
Meeting people from Marketplace
Deals happen off-platform, and Garage Built is not a party to them. Meet in a public place during daylight. Bring someone. Look at the part before money moves. Nobody legitimate needs a gift card, a wire transfer, or your banking login.
If a deal goes wrong, that is a matter for you and the other person, and possibly for the police. We can remove a listing and restrict an account; we cannot recover your money.
Blocking and reporting
Blocking is bidirectional and complete: neither of you sees the other's builds, comments, reactions, listings, or messages. Nobody is told they were blocked.
Reports go to a restricted queue that only authorized admins can read. We never tell the reported person who reported them.
How we handle your report
Reports are reviewed by an authorized admin. Depending on what we find, we may take no action, remove specific content, restrict a feature, suspend the account, or terminate it. Illegal content is preserved and referred to the appropriate authority.
