Delete Your Account

Last updated: 2026-07-22

The short version: deleting your account is immediate and permanent. Your account, profile, private/product data, and app-managed media are removed with no grace period and no recovery. Two narrow exceptions are explained below: text already delivered in an accepted DM may remain for the recipient under Deleted account, and evidence covered by a legal preservation duty may remain in an isolated restricted store for the required period.

Delete from inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open Garage Built and sign in.
  2. Tap the gear icon on your profile to open Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  4. Sign in again when prompted — we re-auth to make sure it's actually you.
  5. Read the confirmation screen. It lists exactly what's about to disappear.
  6. Tap Delete account to confirm.

That's it. Product access is revoked, the cleanup job finishes every required storage/processor purge, and you'll be signed out. If a provider or storage deletion fails temporarily, we keep retrying instead of telling you deletion succeeded early.

If you used Sign in with Apple, native iOS deletion asks for fresh Apple reauthentication and automatically revokes Garage Built's token. Android/web deletion uses the normal reauthentication path, deletes Garage Built and RevenueCat data immediately, and then shows the Apple Settings path where you can revoke Garage Built manually.

Can't access the app?

If you've lost your phone, forgotten your password, or can't open Garage Built for any other reason, email us at [email protected] from the email address tied to your account.

Include:

We'll verify it's actually you, usually by sending a confirmation link to that email. We respond to an email request within 14 days, but the deletion itself begins immediately once identity verification is complete; there is no post-verification grace period.

What gets deleted

Everything you've created in the app:

All of it is hard-deleted from the product database and storage. We don't keep a "soft-deleted" account you could recover later.

The only two retention exceptions

Ordinary abuse-report evidence is purged and is not a third exception. Anonymous aggregate counts that cannot identify or restore your account are not account data.

Active subscription?

Deleting your account doesn't cancel your Premium subscription with Apple or Google — those are managed by the app store, not by us. To stop renewal:

Cancel before deleting your account so you're not charged again on the next billing date.
