The short version

Some of the retailer links in Garage Built earn us a small commission when you make a purchase. We mark those links with an (affiliate) label. Links without that label don't earn us anything — they pass through to the retailer exactly as you'd expect.

Affiliate commissions help fund development of the app. They never change what we recommend, what we show, or what you pay. The price at the retailer is the same with or without our link.

What we do

  • Mark every affiliate link with a small (affiliate) tag — always visible, never hidden.
  • Pass through every link we don't have an affiliate relationship with, unmodified. No silent retailer swaps. No "we found a similar product at a different store" nudges behind your back.
  • Log clicks on affiliate-tagged links so we can confirm commissions with the retailer. We only log the surface the click came from and the brand domain — no personal browsing history, no purchase amount, nothing beyond what your retailer would normally see.
  • Show this disclosure on every install detail screen and link here from the affiliate label.

What we don't do

  • Run display ads. Garage Built has no ads, no sponsored content, no programmatic ads. Ever.
  • Sell or share your data with affiliate networks. The only thing the network sees is our affiliate ID — not who you are.
  • Bounce you from the retailer you wanted to a different retailer that pays us more. If you tap a link to a brand we don't have an affiliate relationship with, you go to that brand's site, untouched.
  • Mark up or change pricing. What the retailer charges is what you pay.

The networks we work with

Garage Built participates in affiliate programs from several networks and direct retailers — these include Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, Impact, CJ Affiliate, AvantLink, and a handful of direct programs (Andy's Auto Sport, MAPerformance Street Team, ENJUKU Racing, and select Can-Am specialty shops).

The set changes over time as we add new programs or sunset old ones. Live coverage at any given moment is what the app's (affiliate) label shows — that's the ground truth.

FTC compliance

As required by the FTC's Endorsement Guides (16 C.F.R. § 255), this disclosure makes clear that Garage Built may earn commissions on links you tap inside the app. The label and this page are how we comply.
